Dental crowns can be colour matched to suit the colour and shade of your natural teeth. This, on top of being a strong, stain resistant restoration makes dental crowns a popular option for protecting and cosmetically enhancing the appearance of a tooth. The same could also be said for Invisalign. This series of clear custom-made aligners are often used to enhance cosmetically crooked teeth. Invisalign is a great choice because the aligners are practically invisible so no one will notice you’re wearing them. Additionally they are removable so you can take them out for photos and functions.

WHAT IS THE DENTAL BONDING PROCEDURE?

How many appointments you need will depend on the amount of work you are looking to have done. Generally, the appointment only takes an hour and you will leave our office with whiter, healthier looking teeth. You may experience some sensitivity after treatment, however this should not last more than a week. It is also important you maintain optimal oral hygiene: brushing and flossing your teeth twice a day, and flossing at least once a day. After cosmetic dentistry it is vital you visit your dentist for regular check-ups to not only ensure your continued good oral health but also the health of your cosmetic restoration.

WHAT IS SAME-DAY PORCELAIN DENTISTRY?

Elite Dental Adelaide uses the CEREC machine to give you porcelain restorations in one visit. Traditionally, a dental crown would take two appointments spread over a week to a week and a half.

HOW LONG DOES TEETH WHITENING LAST?

The effects of teeth whitening can last anywhere between 6 months and three years depending on how you maintain your teeth and if you have major teeth staining habits. Maintaining your white teeth may mean changing some aspects of your lifestyle like drinking coffee, smoking and sticking to a good oral hygiene routine.

At Elite Dental Adelaide, we uses the CEREC machine which you can get your porcelain restorations in just one appointment. No messy impression material; no awkward-feeling temporary crown.

Instead of messy impression material, we take digital images of your teeth and upload this to the CEREC computer. It then takes us five minutes to design your new restoration: this design is sent to the milling machine and 20 minutes later you’ll have your new porcelain restoration. The advantages of porcelain restorations are that they mimic they shade and colour of your natural teeth.

When you visit Elite Dental Adelaide we will assess your oral health and explain all your options. It is important during your initial consultation to explain exactly what you are looking for in your restorative work. This will help us to determine what the best treatment for you is.

We can process your health fund claim electronically in our office through HICAPS, so you know the exact rebate and the balance you owe. For larger cases, credit and interest free payment can be organised through a third party or us. We are also for Preferred providers for HCF. We welcome not only BUPA,Medibank,AHM,HBF as Health funds but also larger network of health funds supported by HICAPS.
